The Old Tea Room Alderney - Details:

Please note: Smoking is not permitted in this property.

Sitting Room

Our sitting room is at the front of the house and is accessed directly via the front door. It is a cosy space with two sofas and a couple of arm chairs. There is a 32 inch smart TV with built in DVD player.  Our Sky box provides you Freeview channels and the Smart TV has access to catch up TV services, as well as services providers such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, should you have your own account.  We also have family games and some books to keep you entertained.

Bathroom 1

This bathroom is on the ground floor and is accessed via the sitting room. It appears almost carved out of the stone and includes a WC, small sink and a shower.

Utility Room

Between the sitting room and kitchen there is a small utility room with a washing machine, as well as mop and bucket, iron and ironing board and vacuum cleaner.

Kitchen

The kitchen is located at the rear of the property in a former German bunker. There are no windows as a result, but natural light comes via a roof light in the ceiling. There are difficulties with having a kitchen encased in concrete and to counter the occasional leak after heavy rain, please do admire our clever internal guttering system! We have seating for five around the table and all the usual appliances to make your stay comfortable.  This includes a toaster, steamer, microwave, gas cooker and hob, slow cooker and dishwasher and a plentiful supply of cutlery and crockery.

Garden

The outside space is accessed from the back door in the kitchen where steps will lead you out of the bunker to a small gravelled area and up onto the patio above the kitchen. It is a small space but extremely pleasant for sitting outside on a warm summer’s day and there is outside furniture available for you to use, stored in our old German Washroom!
